Sherilyn joined the ALPA Board as an Associate Director in 2018. The Board wanted to invite associate directors to join them to give emerging leaders a voice in ALPA, and also to create opportunities for these emerging leaders to gain governance and policy experience. Sherilyn enjoys the opportunity to participate in Board decisions and learning from the other Board Members.

Sherilyn is passionate about the work that ALPA does in supporting Youth and Families, and thinks that supporting families to keep culture strong is important for making future generations strong.

Sherilyn was raised in Galiwin'ku and works as a Support Worker with Aged Care within East Arnhem Regional Council at Galiwin'ku.

Sherilyn is a proud mother to her daughter Ratja and spends her free time with family.
