The Certificate I in Retail Services is a nationally recognised qualification designed to help provide a pathway into different areas of the retail industry. You will learn skills about working safely, communicating at work and being organised.

Certificate II in Retail Services

The Certificate II in Retail Services is a nationally recognised qualification designed to help new workers understand their job. You will learn skills about working safely, communication, being organised and helping customers. You will also get to choose other units that relate to where you are working in the store- registers, takeaway, store room and office.

Certificate III in Retail

The Certificate III in Retail is a nationally recognised qualification designed to help people who have some experience working in the retail industry. You will build on your customer service and selling skills, you will learn about working in a team and supervising team members, and you will have the choice of learning about balancing the register, stock control and ordering, supervising food safety and becoming a good food person in your community. You will also get to choose other units that relate to where you are working in the store- registers, takeaway, store room and office.

Certificate IV in Retail Management

The Certificate IV in Retail Management is a nationally recognised qualification designed to help people who lead and manage teams in the retail industry. You will usually have highly developed selling and customer service skills and take responsibility for your store performance and team members. Work roles will include store manager, department manager or assistant store manager. This qualification will increase your skills and knowledge about store financials, employee relations, leading a team, workplace safety and developing personal productivity. You will also get to choose other units that relate to where you are working in the store - registers, takeaway, store room and office.

Certificate II in Community Services

The Certificate II in Community Services is a nationally recognised qualification designed to provide a pathway for workers in front line roles and help others in meeting their immediate needs.

Certificate III in Community Services

The Certificate III in Community Services is a nationally recognised qualification designed to provide a pathway for workers who help others, or support the implementation of community based programs.

First Aid

ALPA can deliver HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid, HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an education and care setting, HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.  These resources are contextualised to remote settings with a focus on practical engaging activities.

White Card

This course is a general induction that will cover key skills and knowledge relating to participating in workplace health and safety, including following and implementing safe work practices, contributing to safe work practices and reflecting on safe work practices.  ALPA has contextualised this delivery for remote building settings.

It places an emphasis on underpinning literacy and numeracy skills, aiming to support an effective transition into the workplace. Ready for Djama program aims to prepare job seekers with skills and knowledge to participate adequately in the workplace.

The Get ready for White Card training is a short course with learning and activities that will help you to prepare for the White Card course, CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry.

Ready for Construction

The Get ready for construction training is a short course with learning and activities that will help you to prepare for working in construction.

The focus for this training is numbers and numeracy. You will learn about how numbers are used in everyday life and in construction work.
