ALPA and Bula'bula Arts work together to demistify Payroll Process Our staff are integral to our business operations. For many of our community members, various external factors can impact staff attendance: cultural obligations, caring for family, and so on. The payroll process can be quite overwhelming for many of us. As a result, our stores and Community Services department have started to use a specially created cross-cultural resource to help explain the intricacies of the payroll process. The piece was commissioned to BulaBula Arts and the exceptionally talented Joy Burruna worked closely with our Community Engagement team to create "the Payroll River". We use this resource when onboarding new staff at our stores and at our Community Services sites. Feedback from staff has been that the Payroll River has assisted with explaining the Payroll process to new starters.
