The in-store health promotion project Good Food Strong Bodies has now been rolled out to our Milingimbi and Gapuwiyak stores. The aim of this project is to positively influence customer purchasing, behaviours towards consuming more fruit and vegetables and less sugar.

The store teams in Milingimbi and Gapuwiyak were excited about the posters being put up in stores saying, ‘they added colour to their store’ and ‘gave customers something to talk about.

The health promotional posters will stay up in stores for 8-weeks before being rotated to new messages and then changed again in another 8 weeks, running for a total of 6 months. This helps to prevent customer blindness to the messages and increases customer engagement.

Alongside the rollout of the Good Food Strong Bodies project, ALPA’s Community Nutritionist is providing in-store education to customers and visiting various stakeholders of the community to provide more in-depth education around health and the importance of diet.

The 6-month long health promotion project is being evaluated regularly and we expect data to be quantified in the end.
