We recently asked Jacob for some of his thoughts about working with ALPA to support his community.

I have been working for CPD since 2017 and in my role as an employment consultant I have a big responsibility to work with members of the community that are on our caseload, these people might need to attend their appointments so that Centrelink does not cut them off from their money.

It makes me feel proud because I was able to help my community, my family keep their money, they need this money for their food and for their family.

The best part of my job is working with the other businesses to try to find a good worker for each position. Everyone wants a job and it is important that we find the right people for the right job.

I have just started to learn how to help CDP participants with their identification applications. This is a tricky job because sometimes people have different names on their Drivers license and birth certificates. But when I see some get a new Ochre Card or White Card it makes me happy that I was able to help support them.
