ALPA announces new CEO Kyle Nacard The Arnhem Land Progress Aboriginal Corporation (ALPA) has announced the appointment of our new Chief Executive Officer, following a comprehensive national recruitment process. Kyle Nacard was unanimously appointed by the ALPA Board as the successful candidate and will commence in the role on 1 May 2026. Kyle is currently ALPA’s General Manager of Enterprise and Economic Development. The decision follows the announcement in January that Alastair King will be stepping down after 25 years as CEO. Alastair will remain with ALPA until June 2026 to support an effective transition period.Kyle said he feels extremely privileged to be appointed to such a significant role and welcomes the opportunity to draw on Alastair’s experience during the leadership transition.“It’s something I feel ready to take on, and the transition with Alastair will be important. I’m committed to working with the Directors to ascertain what their priorities are during the first year and beyond,” Kyle said.ALPA Chairperson Mätjarra (Faye) Garrawurra said “we are grateful for Alastair’s commitment and hard work over the last 25 years. Kyle has been with ALPA since October 2022, in the role of General Manager, Enterprise and Economic Development. His work has involved driving economic business across the Northern Territory, including Bukmak Constructions, Manapan Furniture, and joint ventures with Traditional Owners, Rulku Enterprises and Dinybulu Regional Services.In addition to strong knowledge of ALPA, Kyle has extensive experience as a senior executive and leader across a variety of industries in other organisations. Most notably, with the Supreme Group, where he spent time internationally in Europe and in the Middle East. In addition, Kyle holds an MBA with the University of Melbourne and is a Graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors.
