Good Food Strong Bodies rolls out across NT and QLD The Good Food Strong Bodies health promotion store signage has now been rolled out to 12 of our stores across the Northern Territory and Queensland. The material has been translated into 5 different languages across the regions: Yolngu Matha - East Arnhem Land Anindilyakwa - Mikbamurra Tiwi - Pirlangimpi Murrinh Patha - Nganmarriyanga Warlpiri - Lajamanu Nunggubuyu (Wubuy) - Numbulwar Developed in collaboration with Outback Stores and Uncle Jimmy Thumbs Up, the health promotion material is aimed at increasing fruit and vegetable purchases and decreasing purchases of sugary products. This project was first rolled out in 2021 across East Arnhem Land in Galiwin’ku, Buthan, Gapuwiyak, Milingimbi, and Ramingining stores, where it was translated into Yolngu Matha. Last year it expanded to the Mikbamurra, Pirlangimpi, Borroloola, Lajamanu, Hope Vale and Aurukun stores. The material is set to be launched in Nganmarriyanga and Numburindi in early 2025. NT Government Public Health Nutritionists have supported the roll out of the material, fostering engagement with the community by holding in-store education sessions. This project is a part of ALPA's Health and Nutrition Strategy. Manage Cookie Preferences
