At ALPA's recent Board meeting, Deputy Chairperson Elizabeth Ganygulpa announced her decision to step away from the role to focus on her health and spend more time with her family and community.

Ganygulpa, elected as Interim Deputy Chair following Chairperson Matjarra’s appointment, has played a crucial role in guiding the Board through an important transition period. We sincerely thank Ganygulpa for stepping up to the role when we needed her most, and for her tireless efforts and leadership as Deputy Chair. She will continue serving as the Milingimbi Community Director, and we look forward to her ongoing contributions. 

Following Ganygulpa's decision to step down, Don Winimba was elected by the Board as Deputy Chair. Wininba is a respected and knowledgeable leader whose experience as Galiwin'ku Community Director equips him well for this role. We congratulate Deputy Chair Wininba and look forward to working with him.
