Celebrating continued service delivery under RAES ALPA is proud to continue delivering remote employment services under the Remote Australia Employment Services (RAES) contract, following the successful outcome of the recent tender process. RAES is the next iteration of the National Indigenous Australian Agency (NIAA) remote employment scheme, previously the Community Development Program (CDP). ALPA has successfully delivered employment programs under NIAA since 2013. RAES: Flexible, strength-based services The Remote Australia Employment Service introduces a more flexible and strength-based approach to remote employment. Unlike CDP, which has been criticised for failing to meet the diverse needs of remote communities, RAES will have a larger focus on tailored support, community co-designed projects, and culturally safe services. It will offer greater mentoring, training, and employment placement support, while also trialling improvements in job seeker assessments and foundational skills development. RAES aims to empower communities and providers to collaboratively address barriers to employment and create meaningful pathways to work. ALPA will retain service delivery across all our current regions, with one change in Region 41. We will continue our work in Gapuwiyak, while services in the Gove Peninsula will transition to another provider. We remain proud of the impact we’ve had in Nhulunbuy, Yirrkala, Gunyangara and surrounding homelands, where our teams have delivered impactful services. We extend our best wishes to the new provider and thank community members for their trust and collaboration. ALPA will deliver RAES in the following locations: Galiwin’ku Milingimbi Ramingining Gapuwiyak Minjilang Gunbalanya Jabiru Next steps Looking forward, we're excited to continue our journey alongside remote communities under RAES and evolve our services in partnership with community, stakeholders, and job seekers.
