Indigenous Skills and Employment Program (ISEP)

The Indigenous Skills and Employment Program (ISEP) is a First Nations–focused initiative that supports long-term employment success. At ALPA, we’re committed to supporting post-employment outcomes. That means helping individuals stay employed, grow in their careers, and build sustainable futures. Using a place-based and flexible approach, ISEP connects First Nations people with career growth, and practical training that leads to lasting employment.

ISEP projects are designed from the ground up in partnership with local communities and Yolŋu people. Together, we identify service gaps and create tailored solutions that reflect local needs, remove employment barriers, and align with regional priorities.

This Project is funded by National Indigenous Australian’s Agency (NIAA). ALPA runs this program out of Milingimbi, Ramingining, Gapuwiyak, Nhulunbuy, Yirrkala, Gunyangara, and Galiwin’ku.

The ALPA IESP program supports post-employment students through:

  • Support with reading, writing, maths, and digital literacy skills
  • Personal learning plans to meet job needs
