Jason Butjala rejoined the ALPA Board in 2024 and is excited to be back, committed to driving positive change in his community. He is passionate about turning plans into action and maintaining momentum for growth and development.

Jason emphasises the importance of staying connected to Country and culture. Reflecting on his own upbringing, Jason advocates for youth to learn the Yolŋu way.

“I want to see change. I want to take all the kids out bush, show them what the old people did for a long time, like ceremony and what bush tucker they had before there was a store. Tell the story of how they survived for a long time”.
